This area of Bali can be surfed anytime of the year provided there is a northerly wind or no wind at all - you do need to get there early to avoid onshore winds.

The peninsula is fringed with reefs and does get big swells - watch for currents especially when the tide is on it's way out. Definitely an area you want to surf with a friend.  These waves are very powerful coming in from open ocean.
